Fit-aroma in MONGE VETSOLUTION CANINE DIABETIC contains fenugreek. Trigonellin - an alkaloid that is the main component of fenugreek, has hypoglycemic properties. It affects the regeneration of beta cells, insulin secretion and enhances the activity of enzymes involved in glucose metabolism. The amino acid 4-hydroxyizoleleucin, so far obtained only from fenugreek, has antidiabetic properties. It increases insulin secretion during hyperglycemia and increases insulin sensitivity.
Fenugreek seeds contain 45.5% fiber (32.1% insoluble and 13.3% soluble). Hydrolysis of fenugreek mucus releases galactose and mannose which is effective in reducing blood glucose levels.
