MONGE VETSOLUTION CAT HEPATIC
A recipe dedicated to sensitive cats requiring a specialized diet, used to support liver function through nutrition. Monge VetSolution Hepatic contains unique ingredients such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) - an enzyme that helps avoid oxidative stress, xylooligosaccharides (X.O.S.) - natural prebiotics that support intestinal immunity, and is enriched with a functional Fit-Aroma coating, ensuring a tasty and healthy approach to liver dysfunction.
Silybin, the active ingredient of milk thistle seed extract in the Fit-Aroma formula, in MONGE VETSOLUTION HEPATIC has many positive properties affecting the functioning of the liver. In hepatocytes, silybin inhibits the development of free radicals, inhibiting lipid peroxidation, and preventing liver inflammation and fibrosis. The anti-inflammatory properties of Silybin act at the level of the DNA/RNA nucleus. The key to the development of liver fibrosis is the transformation of hepatic stellate cells into myofibroblasts, which is limited by Silybin by interrupting cell signaling. Silybin reduces stellate cell DNA synthesis, spreading and formation of fibrous tissue. Silybin limits changes in biochemical and blood coagulation parameters and reduces the degree of hemorrhagic necrosis of the liver. It also inhibits the absorption of toxins on the mucosa of hepatocytes. Recent pharmacokinetic studies of Silybin complexed with phosphatidylcholine in cats show that oral bioavailability increases by approximately 7%, partly due to the limited glucuronidation capacity in this species. Silybin remains largely locked in intestinal recirculation and bile concentrations are almost 100 times higher compared to serum concentrations. Hepatoprotective effect, silybin increases protein synthesis, necessary for liver regeneration.
Proteins: Formulated with moderate levels of protein, primarily plant-based (pea protein)
Fat: the high fat content helps reduce the volume of food intake and also helps counteract the problems of poor appetite in patients with liver problems
Carbohydrates: Tapioca is an ideal source of highly digestible carbohydrates that support abnormal liver metabolism
Minerals: MONGE VETSOLUTION HEPATIC is low in copper, which helps reduce intracellular copper accumulation and cell damage
