Fit-Aroma in MONGE VETSOLUTION CARDIAC contains ginseng. The attributed cardiovascular benefits of ginseng include cardioprotection, antihypertensive effect, attenuation of cardiac hypertrophy, which prevent heart failure. Panax ginsenosides modulates vasomotor functions, reduces platelet adhesion, affects ion channels, facilitates the release of autonomous neurotransmitters and improves lipid profiles. Standardized ginseng extract inhibits cardiomycyte apoptosis. In dogs, ginsenosides from panax ginseng stimulate the release of serotonin, so ginsenosides act as an adaptogen, increasing resistance to stress. Recent research shows that this antioxidant owes its organ protection properties to the ability to increase the synthesis of nitric oxide in the endothelium of the lungs, heart and kidneys. Ginsenosides in MONGE VETSOLUTION CANINE CARDIAC are only minimally digested by gastric juice and metabolized by intestinal bacteria. The resulting metabolites are absorbed in the intestine. Long-term consumption of ginseng extract is safe for the body and reduces susceptibility to reperfusion damage and myocardial ischemia.

Protein: In order to maintain lean body mass and delay wasting, protein levels are limited. Taurine and carnitine levels are increased to compensate for the deficiency sometimes seen in dogs with cardiomyopathy and to optimize the metabolism of long and medium chain fatty acids

Essential fatty acids: MONGE VETSOLUTION CARDIAC contains purified oil, which is a source of omega 3 acids. This limits the production of pro-inflammatory molecules.

Carbohydrates: The tapioca used is a source of potassium, which helps dilate blood vessels, increasing blood flow in the body and reducing the burden on the cardiovascular system

Minerals: MONGE VETSOLUTION CARDIAC contains low amounts of sodium, intended to compensate for the effects of hypomagnesemia and hypokalemia in cardiac patients. It is formulated with an optimal potassium to sodium ratio > 6.15
